Happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I finally got some time to craft over the weekend, and I made a card using Simon Says Stamp’s Under The Sea Animals and Pebbles Die. I had this stamp and die set for a long time and haven’t had the chance to use it. Here is the card I made with these cute under the sea animals.
First, I started making the background by using Distress Oxide Inks, I used the ink blending tools to blend the Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean onto a piece of A2 sized Neenah Solar White card stock to make the water background. I blended the Tea Dye, Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo to make the sand.
I used the Pebbles Die to die cut another piece of A2 sized Neenah Solar White Card Stock and I glued the pebble-covered card stock over the Distress Oxide Inks background and trimmed it down to 4″ x 5.25″. I adhered the card front to an A2 sized Neenah White Card Stock (110 lbs) card base and put it aside.
Then, I stamped the sea animals on to a piece of white Neenah card stock and colored them with Copic Markers (YR04 and 24, V06, YG61 and 63). I fussy cut them out and I used a Sakura white Gelly Roll pen to add some details on the Octopus, Starfish, and Turtle.
I stamped a sentiment on a strip of white card stock (I had already blended it with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink) with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with Hero Arts Clear embossing powder. To finish the card, I glued all the sea animals onto the card and glued on the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping my blog! I hope you like the card and see you next time!
