Birthday Cards

Happy Birthday

Good morning all and Happy Wednesday!

Today’s card features Simon Says Stamp’s and Concord & 9th Stamptember’s,  Monster Hugs! When I first saw this stamp, I fell in love with it. The Monster is so cute and I love everything about this stamp set!

First, I made the background with Distress Oxide Inks. I used the ink blending tools to blend the colors Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Walnut Stain for the background onto a piece of 4″ x 7″ of Bristol White Card Stock.  Then, I glued the background on my card base same measurement (4″ x 7″).

I stamped the monster and three balloons with Copic friendly ink, Hero Arts, Intense Black and colored them with Copic Markers (G00, 02, and 05, R20, BV01 and 02, R81,83 and 85, Y02, Y06 and 11). I fussy cut them all out. I tied some black thread on the balloons and put them aside.

Next, I glued on the fence (embellishment from Jolee’s By You) to the background to separate the two colors from the background.  To finish the card, I adhered the balloons with foam tape onto the card and put some glue on the thread to make them stick on the card, hidden behind the Monster’s hand.

I hope you like the card. Thanks for visiting and see you next time!
