Hello lovelies!
I hope everyone had a great start of the week. I can’t believe it’s already October, this year goes by so fast! So over the weekend, I bought some Tonic Studios’ Nuvo Shimmer Powder. It was my first time playing with it and I am loving it!
First, I started wetting the water color cardstock with water. Then, I sprinkled Catherine Wheel and Solar Flare shimmer powder from Tonic Studios onto the wet cardstock to create my background. It’s so fun. All you need to do is spray some water onto the shimmer powder and it will spread out on its own. I repeated the process until the background was all covered. Next, I let it air dry for approximately an hour or two. After it completely dried, I stamped the “Lovely” sentiment from Concord & 9th onto the background with Versa Fine Black Ink and heat-embossed it with Hero Arts’ Clear Embossing powder and repeated the process on the “Hello” sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock with white embossing powder.
I die cut the Dandelion Fluff die from Elizabeth Craft Designs with Neenah Solar White Cardstock. To finish the card, I trimmed the background down to 4″ by 5.25″ and adhered it to an A2 sized Neenah White (110 lbs) card base. Lastly, I popped up the “Hello” sentiment with foam tape and adhered the Dandelion Fluff die onto the card.
