Hello friends and happy Thursday! One more day to go until the weekend is here. I can’t stop playing this Plank Background Stamp Set from Simon Says Stamp. I am so in love with it.
First, I stamped the Plank Background with VersaMark Ink onto a Bristol Smooth card stock panel and heat-embossed it with Ranger Ink’s Princess Gold embossing powder. I colored the background with Zig’s Clean Color Real Brush (Cobalt Blue, Yellow, Fresh Color and Light Green). I let it sit and air-dry for half an hour. After it completely dried, I trimmed down the background to 4.25″ by 5.5″.
Next, I stamped the “Hello” sentiment from Ranger Ink’s Letter It, Hello Stamp Set with VersaMark Ink and heat-embossed it with Ranger Ink’s Princess Gold embossing powder on a piece of 4″ by 5.25″. I repeated the same process on the “Friend” sentiment onto a strip of black card stock.
To finish the card, I adhered the background panel onto my Neenah White (110 lbs) A2 sized card base. Then, I glued the vellum onto the background with liquid glue and hid the glue behind the sentiment. Lastly, I popped up the “Friend” sentiment with foam tape and adhered some clear flat sequins.
I hope you like the card. Thanks for visiting and see you next time!
