Good morning! I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!
Today’s card features Elizabeth Craft Designs’ Lacy Poppies Dies. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp’s Fresh Bunch. For this card, I did the Die Cut Inlay technique, die cutting and assembling whatever you cut out back into the background like a puzzle.
First, I die cut the Lacy Poppies Dies onto a Neenah Craft card-stock (80lbs) to create my card panel. I also die cut the Lacy Poppies Die on a piece of Neenah Solar White (80 lbs) scrap. Next, I used the negative of the Lacy Poppies Die as a stencil and used the ink blending tool to blend Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide Ink onto a piece of white card stock. I adhered the card panel onto the white card stock and trimmed it down to 4.75″ by 3.5″. Then, I glued the white Lacy Poppies die to the Craft card-stock panel, and it fit just like a puzzle. I trimmed another piece of Recollection black card-stock a little bit bigger then my card panel and it measures 5″ by 3.75″. I glued my card panel onto the piece of black card stock to have another layered look. I stamped the sentiment, “Have A Wonderful Day”, with VersaFine Black ink onto the card panel.
To finish the card, I adhered the card panel to my A2 sized Neenah Craft Card base and added on few clear drops from Hai Supplies.
I hope you like the card. Thanks for stopping by and See you next time!
