Friendship Cards, Fun Cards

good morning, gorgeous

Good morning and happy Sunday!

Today’s card is created for this week’s CAS Colours and Sketches challenge #295 and also for my entry for their second part of the DT call. This week’s is a sketch challenge. I used Hero Arts, My Monthly August Card Kit and Foam Animals Stamps Set for today’s card.

I stamped the coffee cup and saucer with a Copic friendly ink, Hero Arts, Intense Black on a piece of Neenah White card-stock and colored with Copic Markers (W1, 2 and 4 and E13 and 34). After it completely dried, I stamped the coffee art with VersaMark ink and heat-embossed it with Hero Arts’ white puffy embossing powder. I fussy cut the image out and put it aside.

I stamped the sentiment, “good morning, gorgeous”, with VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto a piece of pattern paper measured 2.50″ by 3.75″ and I also cut another piece of Neenah Kraft card-stock, measured 2.75″ by 3.75″, to have a layer look.

Next, I stamped the coffee beans from Simon Says Stamp’s Coffee Break stamp set with Gina K Designs’ Dark Chocolate ink onto my Bazzill, Butter Mints A2 card base. I stamped the coffee beans in three rows toward the bottom of the card base. To finish the card, I glued the coffee cup and the saucer onto the card panel and then adhered the card panel onto my A2 card base.

I hope you like the card. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time!

  1. Love how you’ve used the coffee beans instead of the strips, Holly! Thanks for playing along with us at CAS Colours & Sketches. And good luck for the DT call.
