Good morning, friends! Wishing you all a great start of the week!
Today I am sharing another card I created for Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge Page as their guest designer for this week’s challenge #119, Spring Has Sprung. Please play along with us for a chance to win one of two $25 gift cards from Simon Says Stamp.
I created this card by using Simon Says Stamp’s Cosmos Background Stamp and Big Scripty Greetings Stamp Set.
First, I created my card panel by stamping the Cosmos Background onto a piece of Tim Holtz’s Distress Watercolor Cardstock (on the smooth side after I treated it with anti-static powder) with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts’ Clear Embossing Powder. I watercolored the flowers and the background with Kuretake Gansai Tambi. While I was waiting for my card panel to dry, I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of 65# heavy vellum with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts’ Clear Embossing Powder again.
I trimmed the card panel down to 4″ by 5.25″ and adhered it onto my A2 Recollection White Card Base (#110 pounds). To finish the card, I applied and covered the entire back of the vellum with Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue and glued the sentiment onto the card.
I love this Cosmos Background Stamp Set. It’s perfect for a Spring card. I hope you like the card. Thanks for visiting and see you next time!
Such a gorgeous card Holly! Beautiful florals, watercoloring, and sentiment!
