Spring Card

Hello Spring

Happy Wednesday!

Today is the first day of Spring. It’s the perfect time for me to share another card that I created as a guest designer for the most recent Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge. This card features Simon Says Stamp’s Folk Dance Wafer Dies.

For this card, I used the inlay techniques where I die cut and pieced them back together after I colored it. It’s a lot of work but I enjoyed doing it. I like the way it turned out.

I first die cut the Fold Dance Dies onto a piece of Neenah White Card Stock, #110 pounds, and carefully used the ThermoWeb Purple tapes to tape all the small pieces together before I removed the Folk Dance Dies frame. I colored all the small pieces with Copic Markers. Next, I adhered the Folk Dance Dies onto my A2 Neenah White card base and put all the small pieces back into the negative space like a puzzle with my jewel picker. I stamped the sentiment, “Hello Spring” from Simon Says Stamp’s Stretched Flowers Stamp Set with Versa Mark Ink onto a piece of vellum and heat embossed it with Hero Arts’ Clear Embossing Powder. To finish the card, I glued on the sentiment. I hope you like it!

There is still time to join in the challenge #119, Spring Has Sprung, at SSS Flickr Challenge for a chance to win one of two $25 gift cards at Simon Says Stamp. Hope to see you there.

Thanks for visiting and see you next time.
