Hello friends, I hope you’re having a great start of the week! Can’t believe it’s already May and Summer is just right around the corner!
It’s another new colours challenge today over at CAS Colours & Sketches.
Here are the beautiful colours for this week’s challenge created by our host, Patricia! I hope you can join us for this fun challenge!
I made a CAS card today by using Altenew’s Exotic Tulips Stamp Set. When I first saw this release in February, I know I have to have this tulips stamp set. It looks so realistic and pretty!
I started making my card panel by stamping the layering tulips onto a piece of 4.25″ by 5.5″ Neenah Solar White cardstock (#110 pounds). I stamped the solid layer with Warm Sunshine from Altenew’s Crisp Ink and Coral Berry for the fine detail and outline layers. For the leaves, I used the colors of Grass Field and Shadow Creek. I stamped the tulip’s bulb with the same colors onto a piece #80 pound Neenah White cardstock and fussy cut it out. I stamped the sentiment, “Happy Birthday!” from Fiskars’ Simple Expression Stamp Set onto my card panel with the stamping tool, Misti. To finish the card, I adhered the card panel onto my A2 #100 pound Recollection White card base and glued the tulip’s bulb onto the card when I wanted it to be.
I hope you like the card and thanks for visiting! I hope to see you at CC&S!
Have a wonderful day!
