Hello there and Happy New Year!
I hope your New Year is off to a great start! Can’t believe it’s already January 7th, 2020! It’s time to start our first colors challenge this year at CAS Colours and Sketches!
First, I started water coloring my background with Gansai Tambi onto a piece of Tim Holtz’s watercolor card stock and waited until it’s completely dried. Next, I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp’s Big Birthday Greetings with Versa Mark Ink and heat embossed with WOW Embossing Powder.
I die cut the background with My Favorite Things Stamps’ Tag Die. I used a Copic’s Multiliner to add a thin outline around the tag. Next, I glued the tag onto a piece of 4″ by 5.25″ white card stock. To finish the card, I adhered the card panel onto my A2 Bazzill’s Sour Lemon card base.
I hope you like the card and will play along with us at CC&S! Thanks for stopping by and see you all next time!
I love your card Holly! What a perfect colour blend and a great idea to use that as a background for your graphic sentiment and to turn it into a tag.

Love the ink blending! I used this same sentiment for my son as a confidence builder when he was trying out for his 9th grade basketball team. That sentiment is near and dear to my heart. (He did make the team)

Awesome card, Holly! I really love how you watercolored that sentiment with the colors! And you outlined it by hand?!! I can use a ruler, but I always end up not matching up the points; yours looks perfect!
