CAS Colours & Sketches – Challenge #353- Sketch – Happy New Year!

Happy Lunar New Year! May the Rat year bring you happiness, health and good fortune!

It’s time for another new sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches! I hope you will play along with us this week.

I used the stamp sets from Mama Elephant (Many New Year Blessings and Lunar Animals) for this card. First I stamped all the rats, tangerine, red envelope, gold and hats onto a piece of Neenah white card stock with a friendly copic ink, Hero Arts’ Intense Black Ink. I colored them with Copic Markers (C00, C1, C2, C4, W1, W4, YG17, Y18, R49 and Y26). I fussy cut them out. Next, I ink blended the background with Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Candied Apple Distress Oxide Inks. I used my stamping tool, Misti to stamp the sentiment onto my background with Versa Fine Onyx Black Ink. Last, I adhered the background onto my A2 Recollection (#100 pound) white card base. To finish off the card, I adhered all the stamped and colored images onto the card.
