Hello there and welcome back!
It’s time for a new sketch challenge started today over at CC&S! I am the host for this month at CAS Colours & Sketches and here’s the sketch I have created for you.
I used Simon Says Stamp’s Real Flowers Vintage from the release of Stamptember and the Linked Octagon Frames from My Favorite Things.
First, I die cut the Octagon three times onto a piece of Bristol Smooth card stock. Next, I ink blended one with Dried Marigold and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink, one with Shaded Lilac, Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet Distress and the last one with Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose. I set them aside until they were totally dried. I applied anti-static powder onto the ink-blended octagons and I stamped the images and sentiment with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Judikins Iridescent Sparkle Embossing Powder. I cut a piece of white Neenah card stock 4″ by 5.25″ and I scored them diagonally to have some texture. I adhered the octagons onto the card panel with texture and then I glued it onto my A2 Recollection white card base. To finish off the card, I added a black thin frame onto the octagon with the sentiment.
I hope to see you at CC&S! Thanks for visiting and see you next time.
