good morning, gorgeous

Good morning and happy Sunday!

Today’s card is created for this week’s CAS Colours and Sketches challenge #295 and also for my entry for their second part of the DT call. This week’s is a sketch challenge. I used Hero Arts, My Monthly August Card Kit and Foam Animals Stamps Set for today’s card.

I stamped the coffee cup and saucer with a Copic friendly ink, Hero Arts, Intense Black on a piece of Neenah White card-stock and colored with Copic Markers (W1, 2 and 4 and E13 and 34). After it completely dried, I stamped the coffee art with VersaMark ink and heat-embossed it with Hero Arts’ white puffy embossing powder. I fussy cut the image out and put it aside. Hey there, thanks for making my day brighter

Happy Wednesday!

I had so much fun playing with this Die-cut inlay technique so I decided to make another card using Simon Says Stamp’s Flower Cluster Die.

unnamed-3

First, I die cut the Flower Cluster Die onto a piece of A2 sized Recollection Navy Blue card stock to create my card panel. Next, I die cut the Flower Cluster Die onto a piece of Neenah Solar White card stock and I carefully flipped it over and used purple tape to tape all the pieces together so I can ink blend it later. I removed the outline of the die cut first and left all of the other pieces on the tape. I used the ink blending tools to blend the Wore Lipstick and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Inks onto the pieces of die cut that stayed on the purple tape.

I cut a piece of white printer paper which measured 3.75″ by 5.25″,  a little smaller than my Navy card panel.  I covered the white printer paper with glue tape and adhered my Navy card panel onto the white paper. I glued the Flower Cluster Die back to the Navy card panel. Then I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp’s Hey There Sunshine and Big Thanks Words stamp sets with VersaMark Ink and heat-embossed it with Hero Arts’ White detailed embossing powder.

To finish the card, I adhered the card panel onto an A2 Neenah White (110 lbs) card base.

I hope you like the card. Thanks for visiting and see you next time!

Today’s card features Elizabeth Craft Designs’ Lacy Poppies Dies. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp’s Fresh Bunch. For this card, I did the Die Cut Inlay technique, die cutting and assembling whatever you cut out back into the background like a puzzle.  Continue reading “Have A Wonderful Day”

You’re Strong

Hello all and Happy Friday!

“You’re Strong”, a card that I created for this week’s CAS Colours and Sketches, color challenge #294 and also for my entry for their DT call. This week’s color challenge is Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, and Berry Burst. Those are the perfect colors for October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

First, I started to mask off a square with masking tape onto a piece of Neenah Solar White Card stock (110 lbs). Next, I stamped the flower from Simon Says Stamp’s Beautiful Flowers 2 with VersaMark Ink onto the middle of the masked square and heat-embossed it with Hero Arts’ White Embossing Powder.  Then, I used the ink blending tools to blend the colors, Picked Raspberry, Spur Sugar and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks, onto the square. I wiped away the excess ink and the white embossing flower appeared bright white with the embossed resist technique. After I peeled off the masking tape, I used the coloring pencils to color the flower to darken it. Continue reading “You’re Strong”
