CAS Colours & Sketches – Challenge #366 – Happy Birthday!

Hello friends! I hope you all had a great weekend!

It’s time for a new sketch challenge starts today over at CC&S! Here is the beautiful sketch created by our host, Patricia!

I used Hero Arts’ February card kit (2020) to make this card. First, I stamped the image with Versa Mark Ink and heated embossing with Hero Arts’ White Detailed embossing powder. Next, I ink blended with Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin and Barn Door Distressed Oxide Inks. I trimmed the image down to 3 1/2″ by 3″. I die cut the gift and the cupcakes out and popped them up with foam tape.

I splashed some white paint on to my A2 Navy Bazzill card base with a watercoloring brush. I also cut a thin strip of paper from the card panel that I ink blended and glued it onto the A2 card base. I stamped the sentiment with Versa Mark Ink and heat embossing with Hero Arts’ white embossing powder. To finish off the card, I popped up the ink blended image with foam tape onto the card panel.
